**2013 Summer Camp Registration is Open!**
Since 1957, Thorne Summer Camp in Boulder and Littleton has been connecting youth to nature! Each summer, Thorne offers 145 Camp Experiences for youth ages 3-15. Thorne’s Camp Experiences allow youth to explore in nature and offer just the right mix of fun and hands-on learning. Popular Camp Experiences like Mud Mucking, At Home in the Woods, and Bird Banding utilize local prairie grasslands, evergreen forests, and wetland habitats as a classroom and enable youth to connect with and learn about nature. While we cannot guarantee your children will return home clean from Thorne Summer Camp, we are certain they will have both a big smile on their face, and probably one or two things to teach you about a local trail, a native wildflower, or one of many creatures they encountered while playing and learning with Thorne.
My favorite part was when I saw minnows, tadpoles, and a frog and I even caught a crawdad. I learned so much about things that I could not stop learning and I love it! P.S. I like this more than watching TV.

We know that parents need answers to lots of questions before they decide to send their kids to a Summer Camp. Scholarship Application
Thorne offers more than $40,000 in scholarships each year to ensure that no child is turned away from participating in Thorne Summer Camp because his or her family is facing economic hardships. If your family is in need of a scholarship, please CLICK HERE to fill out the online scholarship application. Please be prepared with registration information (like doctor and dentist preferences) and your top three “Camp Experience” choices. You will hear back about the status of your application within one week.
